Can tree pruning and garden work be done during the winter?
Winter is the best time for tree pruning as trees are dormant, meaning they are not actively growing. Trees pruned in the winter do not bleed sap and heal their cuts faster. Deciduous trees have dropped there leaves, making navigating the canopy easier. Garden projects done in the winter benefit from more space in the garden, without annuals, bulbs and tender growth to work around.
